Added the rest of them. I have 11 now. Only Tyr is inactive at the moment.

My Sherlock Holmes is going to be a ACD version of Holmes, yes, but I’m not going to have him be asexual. I am convinced he was asexual in the canon and that his relationship with Watson was a purely bromantic one, but the Holmes I’m rping on tumblr is definitely the secret gay Victorian boyfriend of Watson.

Why? For several reasons:

-It’s tumblr. I do what I want.

-It adds to the angst that Watson is going through. My dear Watson rper wanted a character that she could indulge in epic feels and angst about, so I’m adding epic romantic heartbreak to it all (this rp takes place after the Empty House, so Watson is far from happy*)

-It is relevant to my potential thesis research on homosexuality in the late-Victorian period.

-there was a reason why I chose “the improbable answer” as his tumblr url (besides the fact that I couldn’t have rebelatstagnation or artintheblood as his url)

*As much as I love ACD, I’m going to call bullshit that Watson, after losing his friend (who he thought was dead) and his wife within three years, is going to be all “I AM HAPPY AGAIN AND I FORGIVE YOU FOR NOT TELLING ME YOU WERE ALIVE!” to Holmes and immediately move back in as if nothing happened. I personally think that’s unrealistic for the character who keeps a bull pup and we all know ACD didn’t take these stories as seriously as we fans do.

Some things to expect:

-Watson being angry and Holmes going about the wrong way of apologising.

-Holmes being a right ass and not knowing it until it’s too late.

-Awkward times with Scotland Yard

-Drama

-Humour (it’s me: there will ALWAYS be humour somewhere, even if inappropriate)

-Adventure???

-Prose. Possibly decent prose for once.
